transferpilots.ch was founded in November 2018 to meet the demand in Switzerland and other European countries for professional and practical advice in knowledge and technology transfer (KTT).

transferpilots.ch - Swiss start-up for innovation research and consulting
With the commencement of its business activities, transferpilots.ch will be managed as a sole proprietorship by Andreas Reuter. For more than 20 years, Andreas has been involved in innovation promotion, policy and research.

Background in the private sector, research and innovation promotion
After working in the private sector, his economic research work at the Free University of Berlin at the chair of Prof. Dr. Detlef Lorenz initially focused on the pros and cons of the new strategic trade and technology policy. In Switzerland, he continued to teach at the University of Zurich, Chair of Prof. Dr. Beat Hotz-Hart, on the innovation system and the Swiss economy as well as innovation research on location competition and i
nnovation systems.

Director a.i. and Deputy Director
In 2001, Andreas assumed staff responsibilities at the Swiss Confederation in the areas of education and innovation policy. In 2008 he moved to the Swiss Innovation Promotion Agency, the Commission for Technology and Innovation CTI, where he worked as deputy director and ad interim director. Until the foundation of transferpilots.ch, Andreas was significantly involved in the reorganization of the CTI into the new Innosuisse.

Innovation promotion and international cooperations
The new concept of the WTT, the promotion of projects between industry and research, cooperation with the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), cooperation with Asian countries and energy research were among its tasks in the promotion of innovation.

Publication activities
Andreas is co-author of books and articles on innovation policy and innovation competition.
